Experience “the search”:
Dorado Beach Resort is not an ordinary resort. With an outer reef line that goes from the east to westernmost tip of the property, during swell season intermediate to advanced surfers can enjoy great waves with no one else around.
Guided Surfing:
During guided surfing, the instructor guides the student in one of our dinghies to the offshore reefs. Due to the variety of breaks, we can find waves appropriate for the swell direction and according to the students ability, whether this is riding overhead or waist high waves. The students can travel to Puerto Rico with their boards, or like most, they can select from our quiver, which includes short boards to funboards from FireWire.
Step Off Surfing:
A “step off” is when a surfer literally steps off the side of a personal watercraft and onto a wave rather than paddling into it in the traditional manner. While practicing Step Offs, with one of our Goodwinds experts, the student is able to catch wave after wave, compared to just a few in traditional paddle surfing, which allows maximum progression for the students technique. The instructor is also able to position the student in the perfect spot and catch waves that would have otherwise been hard to paddle.
