Join us for a memorable and very unique event where the community of Dorado Beach Member kitesurfers and their guests join together for a fun day full of clinics and contests on the water. The day activities will be followed an award party, while we enjoy live music from Almas Band. Also, the not-yet-kitesurfer members are welcome to register for the beginner clinics in the morning and get to experience what being a member kiter is all about!

Have you been looking for the perfect moment to get started? This clinic is perfect for total beginners and will cover the first half of our regular kitesurf lesson at a great rate, that also includes lunch and all the goodies of the event!

Session 2, will be to fit more of you that want to get started! This clinic is perfect for total beginners and will cover the first half of our regular kitesurf lesson at a great rate, that also includes lunch and all the goodies of the event!
10AM-11AM Self Rescue & Safety Techniques
In this clinic we will cover the best techniques for self rescue, pack down and rescue, quick release mechanisms and what to do in case of an emergency in the waves or near the reef.
10AM-11AM Intro to Wave Riding Clinic with Phil 1
In this clinic Intermediate to Advanced kitesurfers will learn the techniques necessary to get started in wave riding. Also, he will provide exercises that can be practiced during summer, to be ready for our winter season.
11AM-12PM My First Jumps
This clinic is perfect for our beginner to intermediate kite surfers in the community, or those who want to learn the next few steps. To the minimum, you should be able to stay upwind to participate in this clinic. We will be working on techniques such as:
- Smoother transitions
- Preparing for your first Jumps
- Tips for popping under control

12PM-1PM Advanced Boost Clinic with Andy
In this clinic Intermediate to Advanced kite surfers will learn techniques to boost higher, proper kite control, land softer and some insider tips for better freestyle.
1PM-2PM Lunch
Registered participants (also companions can pre-order) will enjoy a great Lunch which will include:
- A Lime and Cilantro marinated Churrasco* Wrap, with chipotle mayo and Corn & Bean Salsa.
- Spicy Melon salad
- Cookies
- Beverages

2:00-3:30PM: WOO Big Air Contest Presented by BEST
What it’s All about?
We will have a fun contest where the winners will be the ones with the highest airtime and jump height. The whole idea is to have fun! So give it a try! The height and air times will be registered by the Woo devices which will be attached to 3 boards that we will have available.

- Highest Jump (1-3rd Place by Categories)
- Overall highest jump of all categories will win a new WOO! Thanks to our sponsor BEST Kiteboarding
- Categories:
- Men: 17 and older
- Women: 17 and older
- Junior: 16 and under both genders
- Format: We will have several 10 minute heats, where 3 kiters will go kitesurfing and the Woo devices will register jump heights. At the end of the day we will announce the winners.
3:30-5PM Master of the Ocean Race Presented by COSTA
What it’s All about?
- Categories: Open
- Format: Groups of three will be selected by Goodwinds, in order to balance the the level of experience of participants in each team, to participate in a fun and easy relay race! Join us!

Important Information about Resort Access
Resort Access:
IMPORTANT NOTE: MEMBERS coming from OUTSIDE of Property
- Access: Barlovento is only accessible by Golf Cart.
- Parking: The parking available for participants that are arriving by car to Dorado Beach is in Encanto Beach Club which is a 10-15 minute walk to Barlovento.
- Participant Transport: There is the regular shuttle that will be transporting participants from the Beach Club to Barlovento all day, which runs every 15 minutes.
- Member’s Guests: All non-member guests coming to the event have to be pre-registered with Goodwinds by sponsoring member in order for us to put guest on list for the guard station. No exceptions!

VOLUNTEERS:
This is an event, which it’s sole purpose is to unite the community of Dorado Beach Resort. Goodwinds, greatly appreciates anyone who wishes to volunteer to make our event even better! Among the different volunteers we need:
- Water Safety Team: Keep and eye on the safety of every body on the water.
- Registration Team: Set registration area, prepare Goodie Bags, Register and charge Participants
- Beach Cleanliness team: Make sure beach is cleaner than when we started!
